Program Description

Description

What's Cooking Series - A series featuring local chefs. Guest chefs share the back stories behind their cooking lives, the challenges of running a restaurant/food market and talk about a favorite cookbook or recipe.

Chef Lisa Storch and husband Glen Colello started Catch A Healthy Habit over 10 years ago to provide fresh organic vegan ingredients to the Fairfield
community.  They are known for their vibrant juices, smoothies, eats and more - creative recipes filled with nutrients and flavor.

For this What's Cooking? event, Chef Lisa Storch will walk us through how to prepare Caramel Apple Chia Seed Pudding Parfait with Spicy Candied Pecans. How is that for a mouth full!? Drool worthy, for sure! Nut free versions are available - note that it will be coming from their kitchen that handles nuts. If you wish to follow along, call to arrange a time to pick up the $28 kit (serves 4), 39 Unquowa Road, Fairfield, 203-292-8190. Pick-up: Saturday, 3/20, 1-3:00 pm or Monday, 3/22, 11:00 am-3:00 pm.

Lisa and Glen will be sharing their cooking journey, including Lisa's time on the Food Network's "Beat Bobby Flay" where she initially competed against her brother, Chef Matt Storch (owner of Match and Match Lobster), and winning that round, went on to compete against Bobby Flay.

*REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: **The Zoom link will be emailed the day of the event.**
