Program Description

Description

What's Cooking Series - A series featuring local chefs. Guest chefs share the back stories behind their cooking lives, the challenges of running a restaurant/food market and talk about a favorite cookbook or recipe.

The owner of Alina's Cakes and Cookies, Alina Dancho, will take us through decorating a cake you can use for Mother's Day or just to celebrate Spring!

Alina’s, a full service bakery, specializes in custom cakes, gourmet cupcakes, pastries, cookies and desserts. All items are handcrafted from scratch. Alina will share her baking story with us, discussing growing up in Europe, where good and fresh food was a central part of their lives with desserts and cakes being made in their house every week.

If you wish to be part of the virtual hands-on decorating, call to arrange a time to pick up the $30 kit (see photo). The cake serves 6-8, and freezes well. Alina's is located at 2480 Black Rock Turnpike, in White Birch Plaza, Fairfield, 203-576-1455. Arrange for pick-up by Friday, 4/23. Pick-up times: Sunday, 4/25, 9:00 am-1:00 pm or Monday, 4/26, 10:00 am-6:00 pm.

*REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED: **The Zoom link will be emailed the day of the event.**
