Week Calendar

Drop-in program. A lapsit storytime for babies 0-18 months and their parent or caregiver with songs, rhymes, and group reading (pre-walkers). Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the program begins. Space is limited. 

Children ages 2.5-4 and their caregiver will engage in stories, songs and activities that will help foster beginning reader skills.

The Fairfield Public Library is pleased to once again be able to offer no cost, full service tax preparation assistance through VITA, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service.

Drop in to the Woods Branch for an easy adult craft project you can take home or work on at the library. You will be given instructions and supplies to make Upcycled Heart Garland from discarded books.

The 2020 Census is approaching next year. The Census has full and part time opportunities available in our community and will be at the library to recruit interested adults looking for work.

Wednesday Morning Group

Join us for some jumping, jiggling, rhyming, singing, and stories! For children 24-35 months. Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the program begins. Drop-in program. Space is limited.

Whether you are an advanced knitter or just learning, this is a great group to join. Crocheters are welcome, too. Individual projects, group projects, and friendships are knit together each week. This group is for adults age 18 and over.

The Poet's Salon - a monthly poetry group open to all.

Join Story Explorers from the Westport Country Playhouse for an interactive reading! The event will be approximately one hour and include fun activities surrounding the book’s theme.

March - One Book One Town 2020 - Running with Sherman by Chris McDougall

Through stories, music, activities and more, this weekly class helps to develop both the motor and social skills necessary for kindergarten readiness.

Grades 6 and up: On Mondays we craft! Materials are available on a first-come basis.

Drop-in program. Stories, songs and activities for children ages 3-5. Children attend independently, but caregiver must remain in the Library during the program. Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the program begins.

Grades 6 and up: Every Tuesday we will be setting up the Nintendo Switch or XBOX One for group gaming or use one of our laptops from our mobile computer lab to game online with a group of your friends.
