Program Description

Description

Join us monthly for A Different Kind of Book Club. This group focuses on a single genre each month.

January 6: Science Fiction
February 3: True Crime
March 2: Books to TV
April 6: History
May 4: Young Adult (not just for the young)
June 1: LGBTQ+
July 6: Summer Reading

Librarians will lead the discussion with an overview of the genre: history, popularity, seminal works, sub-genres, and best selling authors.

We will then go around the room and have everyone share a favorite book or books. If you're new to the genre, sit back and listen. Leaders will provide handouts to supplement the discussion and participant book suggestions.

Come try something new at the library. Be prepared to have fun, go home with a better understanding of a book genre and a great list of titles and authors to explore.
