Program Description

Description

Learn to code and change the world this spring! Together we will focus on sisterhood, code, bravery and impact. In this club, you will focus on and share something that brings you joy! Learn how to use HTML and CSS to build a tutorial that teaches someone how to do something. Maybe you want to teach someone how to bake the best cookies, how to make a TikTok, or how to make a paper airplane launcher. No skill is too small!

We will be creating our projects using Glitch, a simple tool for creating web apps. All participants will need to create an account on Glitch.com prior to attending. Participants will also need to register on Girls Who Code HQ to enroll in the Fairfield Public Library’s GWC program.

For girls in grades 3-5. Registration is required and is for ALL 7 weeks. Children attend independently. Parent or caregiver must remain in the Library during the event. Space is limited. Registration opens on Wednesday, February 9.

Face masks are recommended for all individuals from the age of 2 and up.

In order to provide the best learning environment for all participants we are unable to allow access, regardless of registration, if you arrive 10 minutes after the program starts.
