Girls Who Code Club
Thursdays: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and April 6, 2023 • 4:00 pm
Girls Who Code is an international non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. Girls Who Code Clubs are spaces where girls can join our sisterhood of supportive peers and use computer science to change the world. Our 3rd-5th Grade Clubs help build the foundational skills and understanding of computer science concepts and sisterhood through a reading discussion and coding activities. Practice new skills by completing fun and simple online coding tutorials and build community through interactive activities with the rest of your Club.
For girls in grades 3-5. Registration is required and is for ALL 6 weeks. Children attend independently. Parent or caregiver must remain
in the Library during the event. Space is limited. Registration opens on Thursday, February 9.
Please note: Each club member will also need to register on Girls Who Code HQ, the official online learning platform, to enroll in Fairfield Public Library’s Girls Who Code Club. Club members will receive instructions on how to do this closer to the start date.
The Fairfield Public Library reserves the right to utilize photographs or video taken at the library for future library publications or other library publicity. All library patrons consent to the use of their photo/video taken at the library or during library events for such purposes. If a patron does not wish to be photographed/videoed, the patron must notify the library staff to that effect.
