| June | Plant a Seed, Watch it Grow | Gardening, life cycles, eco-themed |
| July | Red, White & Blue | America's Birthday: American Revolution fiction or non-fiction |
| August | All Booked Up | Book club books |
| September | I Read Banned Books | American Library Association lists |
| October | Creature Features | Vampires, Werewolves, Monsters, etc. |
| November | Turtle Island | America’s Indigenous People and Cultures |
| December | By George! | Any book about an American president |
Each month we will announce the next month's genre/author and distribute a suggested reading list. We will then have a brief overview of the current month's subject. And then the best part - we welcome participants to discuss the book they read for the genre. If you're new or just want to listen, that's fine. We encourage everyone who has read the genre to book talk their selection for their fellow participants. We will then leave with a list of books in the genre to explore.
