Description
A two-part program on two of the Broadway shows with the most revivals!
Dancing at the End of the World: Broadway's Cabaret (4 revivals!) Set in Berlin during the twilight of the Jazz Age, Cabaret presents a story of opposites: the decadent hedonism of the Kit Kat Klub set against the ugly rise of the violently oppressive Third Reich. With music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, this show has seen many revivals, including a very highly-regarded 1998 production featuring Natasha Richardson as Sally Bowles and Neil Patrick Harris as the Emcee. Join Professor Gil Harel as he discusses the score of this hard-hitting musical and the moments that make it so memorable.
Part II will take place on Monday, November 18th when Professor Harel will talk about Stephen Sondheim's Company.
