Katherine Stievater founded Gap Year Solutions to help students successfully transition to college with a customized plan that builds life skills through “Real World Learning.” Based in the Boston, MA area, she is an Accredited Gap Year counselor, and is a Professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. Katherine speaks and publishes regularly about Gap Years and how they fit into college planning. She is the mother of four boys, one of whom took a Gap Year, one of whom spent his high school junior year in Spain, and the other two in high school. Katherine lives and breathes the same issues as other parents of today’s teens and as a result serves as a great mentor to her students.
