Virtual STEAM’D: Kaleidoscope Edition

Join us to explore fascinating visual phenomena! First, we will take a look at some mind-boggling optical illusions. Then, we will make our own kaleidoscopes while discussing the science behind how they work.

Through curbside pickup, all registered participants will need to pick up a bag of supplies that will be used to complete the class’s activity. (Please see below specific details for this class).

To do the activity, you will need to provide your own tape, scissors, glue, and markers. Other necessary supplies will be provided in the curbside pickup bag.

For children in grades K-5. Registration is required and closes at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 25. Space is limited. Registration opens three weeks before the date of the event. The event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. About an hour before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.
