Virtual Good Eats Family Book Club

It’s time to celebrate winter holidays with sweet desserts from around the world! Join us as we read The Sugar Plum Bakers: A Tale of 12 Holiday Treats by Patricia Tanumihardja and make deliciously sweet Brazilian brigadeiros together over Zoom. Caregiver participation is required as this event will require hands-on cooking in your kitchen. The library provides a pickup bag of ingredients that are available the week of the event, see below for details.

For children in grades K-5. Registration is required and opens on Wednesday, November 15 at 9:00 am. Please only register for one of the class dates as the same class is offered two times (Wednesday, December 6 at 4:00 pm and Thursday, December 7 at 6:30 pm). Space is limited.

Please email sbergstrom@fplct.org with any concerns about ingredients. All registered participants will need to pick up a bag of ingredients that will be used to complete the class’s activity. Supply Pickup will begin on Tuesday, December 5th from 9am the Fairfield Woods Branch Library only (1147 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield, CT 06825). You will receive an e-mail with details.

This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. You will need to download the Zoom app onto your Android/Apple device or the Zoom program onto your computer. About two hours before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.
