Join us as we read The Last Tamale by Orlando Mendiola together over Zoom. Then you'll learn how to make a cheese tamale or two to share with your family!
The library provides a bag of ingredients that are available for pickup at the Fairfield Woods
Branch Library the week of the event. Caregiver participation is required as this event will require hands-on cooking in your kitchen.
For children in grades K-5. Registration is required and opens on Tuesday, April 8. Space is limited. Please only register for one of the class dates as the same class is offered two times (Tuesday, April 29 at 6:00 pm and Wednesday, April 30 at 4:00 pm). Space is limited.
Please email sbergstrom@fplct.org with any concerns about ingredients. All registered participants will need to pick up a bag of ingredients that will be used to complete the class’s activity. Supply pickup will begin on Tuesday, April 29th from 9am the Fairfield Woods Branch Library only (1147 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield, CT 06825). You will receive an e-mail with details.
This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. You will need to download the Zoom app onto your Android/Apple device or the Zoom program onto your computer. About two hours before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.
