Description
Join us to enjoy a summer full of wild and fantastical fun through this series of D.I.Y. virtual projects! Each week’s class will explore a different topic through activities inspired by this year’s Summer Reading theme: Tails and Tales. Once you grab the material, pull up the “how to” on our YouTube Channel at your convenience! All registered participants will need to pick up a bag of supplies that will be used to complete the activity in the Children's Department. (Please see below specific details for this class).
Supply pickup for the take and make will be at either the Main Library (1080 Old Post Road) or the Fairfield Woods Branch Library (1147 Fairfield Woods Road). Please see below for specific details on where to pick up the supply bag. You will be sent a unique link to a video with instructions on how to complete the week’s activity.
Registration is required and is separate for each class each week. Please only register for one of the class dates each week since the same class is offered four times (In person/outside at the Woods Branch at 4:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday; virtual on Zoom at 11:00 am on Wednesday; and supply pickup only (no live class) at 2:00 pm on Thursday). Space is limited. Registration opens on Monday, June 28.
THURSDAY, JULY 22: DRUMMING CATS AND DOGS
During our program we'll make a version of a Spin Drum. One side will be a dog and the other side a cat. Upon completion we'll make beautiful music and discover a unique surprise!
To do the activity, you will need to provide your own scissors, tape, glue and crayons, markers or colored pencils. Other necessary supplies will be provided.
For children entering grades K-5. Registration is required.
