FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS--Memorial Music for our Times

Because music expresses the inexpressible, there is no better way to honor those whom we have lost.  Aaron Copland wrote his luminous sonata for violin and piano in tribute to a fallen soldier. Brahms, hearing that his friends the Schumanns had lost their son to tuberculosis, created a work of irreplaceable musical solace-- his G Major sonata for violin and piano. Don't miss this exquisite concert devoted to beauty and remembrance.

A reception with light refreshments after the concert offers listeners a chance to meet the musicians.
