Have you been thinking about a potential business idea? Would you like to have a tool that helps you evaluate this idea and collect some feedback? We will address these questions in this workshop using a quick and effective way to organize your thoughts, test the viability of your idea, and get your idea ready for feedback: the lean business canvas.

The Lean Business Canvas is a format that represents a key first step to ground an idea and start thinking about how this idea can turn into a business. We will cover the following points:

  • How is the business canvas different from a business plan?
  • Why is it important to complete a business canvas?
  • How can you structure your idea in a business canvas format?

Presenter: Felipe Cortes

Felipe resides in Fairfield, CT, and is an Assistant Professor of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at SHU. He has a Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Also, he is the Editor-in-Chief of the NE Journal of Entrepreneurship and is working full time. Felipe is fluent in Spanish and English.
