Description
During this special maker event, participants will learn about the Library's Glowforge laser cutting machine. They will have the opportunity to personalize a pre-cut wooden keychain design of the state of Connecticut in a heart by having their initials engraved on it. Participants will then use paint markers to decorate it.
This technology uses laser light to cut. Participants will be required to wear goggles while observing how the machine engraves the wood.
For children in grades 2-5. Registration is required. Children attend independently. Parent or caregiver must remain in the Library during the event. Space is limited. Registration opens on Thursday, January 22. Please note that failure to cancel at least 24 hours before the event or not attending the event at all will result in a limited ability to register for future events.
The same program is being offered two times on the same day for your convenience. You may only register for and attend ONE of the programs. Be sure to note what time you registered for. Duplicates will be cancelled.
