The Fairfield County Chapter of SCORE®, Counselors to America’s Small Business, is partnering with the Library to offer free, one-on-one counseling for current and prospective entrepreneurs.

Drop-in program. A lapsit storytime for babies 0-18 months and their parent or caregiver with songs, rhymes, and group reading (pre-walkers). Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the program begins. Space is limited. 

Children ages 2.5-4 and their caregiver will engage in stories, songs and activities that will help foster beginning reader skills.

The Fairfield Public Library is pleased to once again be able to offer no cost, full service tax preparation assistance through VITA, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service.

With the Fairfield Public Library building closed, we are bringing storytime to you and your little ones at home! Join us for virtual storytime classes with Children’s Library staff for songs, rhymes and books for children ages 0-5!

Through stories, music, activities and more, this weekly class helps to develop both the motor and social skills necessary for kindergarten readiness.

Grades 6 and up: On Mondays we craft! Materials are available on a first-come basis.

Join us for stories, songs and activities for children ages 3-5. Children attend the storytime independently, but parent or caregiver must remain in the Library. In the spring, there are 2 sessions of Hoot-Hoot Hooray.

Grades 6 and up: Every Tuesday we will be setting up the Nintendo Switch or XBOX One for group gaming or use one of our laptops from our mobile computer lab to game online with a group of your friends.

Join us once a month for some hands-on fun with littleBits™! Participants will have the opportunity to explore and experiment with littleBits™, electronic building blocks for creating inventions large and small.

I spy some super science! Join us to uncover science fun! In each class, we will explore a different science concept through a hands-on activity. Bring your curiosity and take part in our discoveries!

Interested in role-playing games? Join us to learn the basics of Dungeons & Dragons, a fantasy tabletop role-playing game!

Join our chess club! We supply the chess boards, you provide the competition. This volunteer-led program for all ages will meet weekly and is for intermediate players who have played the game previously.

In 2020 we mark the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage in the United States. The fight for women's right to vote was long and took many twists and turns.

Self-Assessment /Technology/Business Plan

This discussion group has been meeting regularly at the Library for a few years. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe space where issues of race can be discussed and where healing racism can begin.
