Program Description

Description

Could J. S. Bach have imagined how much he would inspire
composers through the centuries? His work has been
a catalyst for a staggering range of music, from effusive
German Romanticism to riveting Soviet counterpoint.
Join the Lions Gate Trio as they track the thread of
Bach’s inspiration through the ages. This powerful concert
program includes Bach’s Cantabile in G Major and trios
by Weinberg and Mendelssohn. Registration is required.
A reception with light refreshments after the concert
offers listeners a chance to meet the musicians.

The internationally acclaimed Lions Gate Trio, the Library's trio-in-residence,features Darrett Adkins on cello, Katie Lansdale on violin and Florence Millet on piano. Peter Alexander is the musical director.

Soundwaves Concerts are made possible each spring and fall through the generosity of the Friends of the Fairfield Public Library.
