Description
With winter upon us, it's easy to think of February and March as a quiet time in the garden. But now is actually the PERFECT time to get a head start on planting! No grow lights needed, just a sunny outdoor spot will do.
Join us for this fun afternoon and take home your own Milk Jug Greenhouse. All you will need to bring is a translucent 1 or 1/2 gallon milk jugs or clear plastic 1 or 2 liter bottles. We will have all of the other supplies needed for this activity, including locally sourced seeds. These mini greenhouses are also great for cool season plants like kale, broccoli or peas so feel free to bring those seeds along too if you have them on hand.
For families with children in grades K-5. Registration is required. Please register your family under one name. An adult must attend the event with the child; knives will be used. Due to safety concerns, younger siblings may not attend. Limit 1 Milk Jug Greenhouse project per family. Space is limited.
