What's Cooking Series - A series featuring local chefs. Guest chefs share the back stories behind their cooking lives, the challenges of running a restaurant/food market and talk about a favorite cookbook or recipe. 
 

Join us as Chef Karen Hubrich of Gruel Britannia demonstrates on Zoom how to make her best-selling Sticky Toffee Pudding.  This classic English dessert is amazingly easy to make, simple to serve and is delicious!  It even freezes well and the toffee sauce will last a long time in the refrigerator.

Pick up an ingredient kit to follow along at home and enjoy this fantastic dessert that night. Please call ahead to preorder and arrange for pick up on Friday, 11/6 or Saturday, 11/7. The $25 kit will be available from Gruel Britannia,  2217 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824, 203-292-6466, and will contain everything you need including the toffee sauce and muffin tins. All you will need is some vanilla ice cream to top off the pudding! 

We will hear about Chef Karen’s unique background and the story of Gruel Britannia in Fairfield, a unique restaurant and provisions store specializing in all things British.
