Description
Join us to create a grassy-haired character! We'll learn a bit about what seeds need to sprout and grow before creating our own grassy guy or gal. Will you create a family member, a friend or maybe a character from your favorite book? We'll provide most of the items and instruction; you bring your creativity and ideas about who you'd like to make. With the proper conditions your friend will begin sprouting grass “hair” in about 3 days and will be ready for a haircut in a week to ten days. Once you’ve created your character, please share pictures of your grassy-headed friend with us!
For anyone unable to make the date, catch the replay with a list of all the supplies needed to make your very own grassy friend on FPL’s Facebook page and YouTube Channel.
Through curbside pickup, all registered participants will need to pick up a bag of supplies that will be used to complete the class’s activity. (Please see below specific details for this class).
To do the activity, you will need to provide your own scissors and drawing supplies such as colored markers; waterproof or permanent markers will work best. Other necessary supplies will be provided.
For children in grades K-5. Registration is required and closes at 12:00 pm on Monday, April 26. Space is limited. Registration opens three weeks before the date of the event. The event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. About an hour before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.
*For the safety of all our patrons, we need to be aware of who is joining. We ask that you please use your child’s first name when joining our events through Zoom.
