Program Description

Description

When should parents begin explaining reproduction, puberty and sexual health? How can parents do so in a way that is informational yet developmentally appropriate? Amanda Romaniello will help parents prepare to have a frank discussion on “the birds and the bees” with their child.

The event is geared towards the parents of elementary school-aged children. Registration is required and closes at 4:30 pm on the day of the event. Participants will receive a reminder e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home. The same event is offered two times--virtual through Zoom on Tuesday, May 24 and in person at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library on Thursday, May 26--for your convenience. Space is limited for both events. Registration opens on Tuesday, May 3 at 9:00 am.

About the Presenter: Amanda D. Romaniello is a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
