Program Description

Description

Inspired by the characters in our One Book One Town 2022 title The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune, Librarian and Historian Michael Bielawa will enlighten us about the mythical creatures that have been a part of culture, literature and even local folklore since ancient times. Michael has authored several regional histories and his essays have addressed such diverse topics as the mysterious creature of Lake Champlain, Bridgeport Connecticut’s crying stone statue, and the bizarre disappearance of a Hartford [CT] minor league baseball manager. Mike has lectured on behalf of the National Endowment for the Arts in Baton Rouge [LA] and has been a moderator for the Connecticut Humanities Council's Literature for a Lifetime discussion series.

This is a virtual event.  The link to join via Zoom will be included in the registration confirmation and event reminder emails.
