Program Description

Description

Join us to enjoy a summer full of fun and imagination through this series of virtual classes! Each week’s class will explore a different topic through activities inspired by this year’s Summer Reading theme: Imagine Your Story. Through curbside pickup, all registered participants will need to pick up a bag of supplies that will be used to complete the class’s activity. (Please see below specific details for this class.)

This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. You will need to download the Zoom app onto your Android/Apple device or the Zoom program onto your computer. About an hour before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.

Registration is required and is separate for each class each week. Please only register for one of the class dates each week since the same class is offered twice (at 3:00 pm on Tuesday and 11:00 am on Wednesday). Space is limited. Registration opens three weeks before each class date.

Wednesday, July 8: Ultimate Challenge Edition

Your mission is to create something new using all or some of the items in the mystery bag of materials that will be prepared for you. You can make a robot, a flying saucer, a castle, a car, or whatever you wish. It’s up to you! It’s what you make of it, just as your story is how you choose to write it. We will build together as a group so we can share and see what we are all imagining!

To do the activity, you will need to provide your own scissors, glue and/or tape, and crayons or markers for decorating. Other supplies will be provided in the curbside pickup bag. You can add and use whatever you feel you need to your mystery bag of goodies to complete your craft, as long as it is okay with your adult, of course!

For children entering grades K-5. Registration is required.

*For the safety of all our patrons, we need to be aware of who is joining. We ask that you please use your actual name when joining our events through Zoom.
