Description
Shake off the winter blues with a trip to sunny Jamaica! Join us as we read Granny's Kitchen by Sadé Smith and cook ackee—Jamaica's national dish. Caregiver participation is required as this event will require hands-on cooking in the kitchen.
For children in grades K-5. Registration is required and opens on Wednesday, March 15 at 9:00 am. Please only register for one of the class dates as the same class is offered two times (Wednesday, April 5 at 4:00 pm and Thursday, April 6 at 6:30 pm). Space is limited.
Please email sbergstrom@fplct.org with any concerns about ingredients. All registered participants will need to pick up a bag of ingredients that will be used to complete the class’s activity. (Please see below specific details for the class).
This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. You will need to download the Zoom app onto your Android/Apple device or the Zoom program onto your computer. About two hours before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.
