Description
Grab your fake teeth and dive into Fairfield’s colonial culinary past! We will read John, Paul, George & Ben by Lane Smith and learn about Fairfield’s Sun Tavern. Then we will recreate a likely dish served to sweet tooth President George Washington in 1989… puritan pudding! You can’t get cavities if you have wooden teeth! Caregiver participation is required as this event will require hands-on cooking in the kitchen.
For children entering grades K-5. Registration is required and opens on Wednesday, July 6 at 9:00 am. Please only register for one of the class dates this week as the same class is offered two times (Wednesday, July 20 at 4:00 pm and Thursday, July 21 at 6:30 pm). Space is limited.
Please email sbergstrom@fplct.org with any concerns about ingredients. Through curbside pickup, all registered participants will need to pick up a bag of ingredients that will be used to complete the class’s activity. (Please see below specific details for the class).
This event will be hosted through Zoom, a virtual meeting service. You will need to download the Zoom app onto your Android/Apple device or the Zoom program onto your computer. About two hours before the class, participants will receive an e-mail with the event’s unique Zoom meeting ID information, which they will need to join from home.
*For the safety of all our patrons, we need to be aware of who is joining. We ask that you please use your child's first name when joining our events through Zoom.
