Join us for A Different Kind of Book Club. We focus on a single genre each month:
May 11: Young Adult (not just for the young)

Staying at home is the perfect time to explore Young Adult (YA) Literature for adult readers. YA can be a breather from heavier fiction and can help with focus.

Adult Services Philip Bahr will lead the discussion with an overview of the genre: history, popularity, seminal works, sub-genres, and best selling authors.

We welcome our Teen Librarian, Jen Laseman who will walk us through all the reasons why YA literature might be right for you.

We will then go around the room and have everyone share a favorite book or books. If you're new to the genre, sit back and listen. Leaders will provide handouts to supplement the discussion and participant book suggestions.

Come try something new at the library. Be prepared to have fun, go home with a better understanding of a book genre and a great list of titles and authors to explore.
