Program Description
Description
Less than 100 years ago, every creature could look up and see a night sky filled with stars. Now, the widespread and growing use of artificial light at night is not only impairing our view of the universe, but negatively affecting our environment, safety, energy use, and health. We will be joined by a distinguished panel of presenters from:
*Sustainable Fairfield Task Force
*Westport Astronomical Society
*Connecticut Audubon Society
* United Illuminating
* RTM Representative Jill Vergara
Come and learn the facts about how our natural world is being effected by light pollution, the efforts being made to restore the darkness to the night skies, and most importantly, what you can do to help save the night.
