Program Description

Description

Fairfield residents, Bonnie Liang and Hannah Choi, owners of BonnaH Co Fiber Arts teach fiber arts classes locally and online. Their classes include hand embroidery, sewing, and fabric painting and printing. They have created a special project for the Fairfield Public Library, an embroidered outline of Connecticut with a stitched heart in the Fairfield location. This Take & Make is designed for beginners and/or advanced-beginner stitchers.

Unlike past Take & Makes, this kit needs instruction and registrants will need to attend the Zoom meeting. The class will be taught live via Zoom by both Bonnie and Hannah! They will go over embroidery basics, two useful embroidery stitches, and how to finish the back of an embroidery hoop for display. The Zoom meeting will be recorded so registrants can refer back at any time.

All supplies and tools needed to complete the project will be provided. Take & Make kits will be available for pickup for registered patrons at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library on Friday, May 7, from 12-2pm or 4-5pm. Registrants will receive the Zoom meeting id information in the confirmation and reminder e-mail.
