Using Emerging Technologies: Using AI with Google Docs and Gmail

Bard, Google’s ChatGPT, is a powerful natural language answer machine. Unfortunately, the chatbot is not (yet) a part of Google Docs or Gmail. You have to go outside the app you’re using to use it.

In this session with Tech Lecturer Gary Webster you’ll see how to use the Google Plugin Compose AI to add ChatGPT to Google Docs and Gmail. Use Compose AI to write (letters, essays, poems, limericks, outlines, summaries) respond to email, and get answers to complex question, all within Docs and Gmail.

Presenter: Gary Webster, a Fairfield resident, is a dynamic technology integrator, industrial designer and certified teacher, developing and teaching technology and design for the classroom. He’s had over 15 years’ experience creating and training teachers in diverse technology resources for schools, and shaping curriculum, using technology in all 16 Fairfield County school districts and throughout the state, and has taught web design, page layout, podcasting, movie making and photo editing at Southern Connecticut State University.
