Soundwaves Concert: Viva Violin!

This special performance combines poetry and music, exploring the wide range of human condition and more. From rhapsody to humor, from ecstasy to grief, from West to East, the performance opens with translucent Baroque music, and character pieces by the great Edward Elgar, before turning to magnificent music works drawing from whirling dervishes, Native American lore, and Spanish dance. Throughout the program, poetic narrative is entwined with the music. Acclaimed actor Caroline Kinsolving joins virtuoso violinist Katie Lansdale in this exquisite juxtaposition of word and music.

  A reception with light refreshments after the concert offers listeners a chance to meet the performers.
