Soundwaves Children's Workshop

How does sound express emotion without words?  How do words change through the way we say them?  

Join actor Caroline Kinsolving and violinist Katie Lansdale as they celebrate National Poetry Month with this workshop for children in Grades 4-6.  In this one hour event, children will be immersed in specific aspects of rhythm, beat, song and emotion, including the exploration of iambic pentameter in Shakespeare's verse through exercise and recitation.

For children in Grades 4-6; registration is required and space is limited.  This workshop precedes the Soundwaves concert, Violin & Verse, which begins at 2:00pm and is for all ages.
