Join Clan Mother Shoran Waupatukuay Piper of the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe for a powerful and visually engaging presentation tracing the rich history of one of Connecticut’s oldest Indigenous nations. Through a compelling blend of historical photographs, video footage, and oral storytelling, Clan Mother Piper will guide the audience on a journey from the ancestral roots of the Paugussett people to their enduring presence and advocacy in the modern world.

This multimedia presentation offers rare insights into the cultural resilience, challenges, and ongoing contributions of the Golden Hill Paugussett community. It is a unique opportunity to learn directly from a respected tribal leader and tradition bearer.

Presenter: Clan Mother Shoran Waupatukuay Piper of the Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe, Connecticut is Tribal Head Leader, as well as being a Spiritualist/Medicine Women, and author of the book, Red Road. In addition, Clan Mother Piper's serves as spokesperson for many American Indian rights, and through a Connecticut school committee representing all five tribes instructs teachers how to incorporate tribal history into school curriculum.
