  • Create a proposal framework
  • Understand the types of proposals typically offered
  • Identify effective strategies to use in writing a business proposal.
  • Understand the costs to be submitted with a grant versus a business proposal
  • Understand typical proposal evaluation criteria

Dr. Harvey Hoffman's background includes both industry and academic experiences. While in industry, he held positions ranging from research and development engineer, group manager, project manager, and general manager. In the aerospace field he worked on the space shuttle and the Titan 34 rocket.

He holds a patent for a Digital Scan Converter Employing an Accelerated Scan. He is presently a Professor of the Practice and Associate Dean in the School of Engineering at Fairfield University. He is the author of project management and capstone project books and more than twenty academic and technical papers. He teaches engineering management courses at Fairfield University.
