Program Description

Description

Musicologist, music theorist and award-winning professor Gil Harel, PhD, joins us for an engaging program on the piano sonata. The piano sonata emerged in the classical period as one of the most important new musical genres of the era. To this day it remains an iconic form that endures thanks in large part to the contributions of composers such as Mozart and Beethoven, which will be discussed and performed by our presenter.
