ChildrenProgram Description
Description
During this special Maker Mondays event, participants will learn about the Library's Glowforge laser cutting machine. They will have the opportunity to personalize a pre-cut wooden fox decoration by having their initials engraved on it. Participants will then learn the basics of cross stitch--a form of hand embroidery--to stitch a heart pattern onto their wooden fox.
This technology uses laser light to cut. Participants will be required to wear goggles while observing how the machine engraves the wood.
For children entering grades 3-5. Registration is required. Children attend independently. Parent or caregiver must remain in the Library during the event. Space is limited. Registration opens on Monday, June 17.
In order to provide the best learning environment for all participants, we are unable to allow access, regardless of registration, if you arrive 10 minutes after the program starts.
