Description
The Bruce S. Kershner Art Gallery Committee invites the public to attend the opening of their current exhibit, Inside Out, featuring the work of Sergey Stepanenko and Annette Voreyer. The opening is from 5:30-7:30pm in the Kershner Gallery at Main Library, and the artists will speak at 6:00. Light refreshments will be served.
Sergey Stepanenko was born in the USSR, grew up in Kyrgyzstan, and has lived in Crimea, Ukraine, and since 1995, the United States. He has a B.A. in fine arts and an M.A. in book design. Sergey's work has included full wall murals, fine art restoration, and original paintings; this exhibit contains a variety of his landscape and still life work. Sergey's art can be found in the collections of rock stars, presidential families, royal families, and many others. He is a member of the St. Phillips Art Group located in Norwalk.
Annette Voreyer was raised in Cooperstown, NY, received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, and spent 12 years abroad in France, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Upon returning to New York, she continued her academic training in fine art, and now works at her Loft Artist studio in Stamford. Annette's work has appeared in many gallery exhibitions throughout Fairfield County and New York City, and she has won numerous awards, including "Best in Show - Paint/Acrylic" at the 2015 Greenwich Art Society's Annual Juried Exhibition.
Inside Out will run from February 8 - March 29 at Main Library and can be seen during regular Library hours.
