Description

A Zine is a self-published collection of short writings and visual images. The intention behind them is to share one’s creative skills and express yourself. Help us create our very first Zine by submitted original short stories, poems, fanfiction, photographs, or other visual art.

Gift cards will be awarded for Most Creative, Best Effort, and Staff Favorite. Physical copies of the Zine will be made available to the public in limited quantities at the end of the summer!

  • Send all submissions to writingcontest@fplct.org
  • All written work should be in PDF format. Visual images should be sent as a JPEG or PNG.
  • Limit 3 submissions per person, there is no guarantee all will submissions will be included.
  • Each submission will also earn you a code good for 25 points in our Teen Summer Challenge
  • Word Limit: 1,000 words.
  • Individuals must be entering grades 6-12 in the Fall to participate. All entries must be received by 5pm, Friday August 4th.
