Description
Middle school brings multiple teachers, changing classes, lockers, increased homework, and new friends. All of this places greater demands on kids' executive function skills, such as organization, planning, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. In this workshop, parents will learn about executive function skill development and some tools and strategies that support these skills. The goal is to help build our kids' independence and help them feel more confident about transitioning to middle school. Participants will leave with practical strategies they can use right away at home.
