Join us for a fun evening with Ira Joe Fisher, an author and poet who will share some of his poems and those of others. He will also share his lifelong philosophy on effective communicating. A prolific writer and poet, Fisher has been published extensively in magazines and literary journals and has published several books of poetry, including “Some Holy Weight in the Village Air,” “Songs From an Earlier Century” and “The Creek at the End of the Lawns.”

Ira Joe Fisher is an Emmy-winning broadcaster, actor, poet, and teacher. He currently teaches poetry and creative writing at UConn, Mercy College, and Founders Hall. He is Ridgefield's Poet Laureate.
