Emergency Preparedness in Fairfield

September is "National Preparedness Month."  Please join us as Fairfield Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Denis McCarthy helps us prepare for upcoming storm season by highlighting how residents and businesses can get ready for and respond to potential emergencies and disasters.  He will review the Town of Fairfield Disaster Response Plans, measures undertaken to better respond to and cope with the immediate aftermath of a disaster to reduce loss of life or property.

Chief McCarthy has served in the Connecticut Fire Service for over 44 years and brings a wealth of experience to his position, giving him the ability to anticipate the changing demands in the public safety environment.  He credits his achievements to working collaboratively within the Fire Department, with partners from other municipal departments, in the private sector, and with citizen and community groups.
